This year, we celebrated Curtis’ 5th birthday at Travel Town Museum. Since it is on a Train Museum, I made this Party a train theme. And of course, we cannot forget about Curtis favorite since he was a few months old, Thomas and Friends.
Here is our invitation. I don’t know if you can notice, but the Curtis on this picture is actually 2 years yonger. He took this picture when he was 3. I guess he didn’t really grow much since then… Curtis actually loves Chinese Dragon Dance. He was so excited when he saw this poster because of the dragon dance cartoon on it!
We got there an hour before we were allowed to use the cart. We were hoping that they would let us in sooner, but they insist on letting us in at 1:30 pm. We were just waiting outside. Here’s the birthday boy in front of our cart.
I cannot believe this is the only picture I have with the birthday boy at this party!!! We didn’t even get a chance to take a family picture.
Here is Curtis’ favorite aunt who would make a Power Ranger costume from scratch paper just because he begs…
I bought the conductor’s hat from Party City. I decorated it with the pins I got for the cup cake picks.
I also made the Birthday Boy Pins with some fabric glitter pen, and 2 Thomas stickers… And the left over gems from his 1st birthday party…

I ordered the Thomas pin from e-bay. I made the cup cake picks from the pins. I also stamped Happy Birthday Curtis on the back of the cup cake picks! And of course, our birthday boy has a different cup cake and differnt decoration on the top! Willa and Chrstine were helping me on assembling them one Friday afternoon! I don’t think I would be able to make it without their help!
The favor bag looks so custom made after I put some nice paper with a train cut out and stamped on the personalized message!
Guests are arriving! Kai kun was able to come join us! All Curtis’ Iruka friends were so happy to see him!
The open area gave kids the opportunity to run around.
